Summary

A Newsweek Best Graphic Novel of the Year。 The impossible has happened: The Joker has become a。。。hero?

The critically acclaimed Batman: White Knight gets a new deluxe treatment。 Quickly becoming a classic Batman story, Batman: White Knight follows the transformation of The Joker into a sane citizen of Gotham: Jack Napier。 After reconciling with his long-suffering partner, Harley Quinn, he sets in motion a carefully plotted campaign to discredit the one person whom he views as Gotham City's true enemy: Batman。

Napier's crusade exposes a decades-long history of corruption within the Gotham City Police Department and transforms Napier into a city councilman and civic hero。 But when the sins of his past return to threaten everything that he has accomplished, the distinctions between savior and destroyer begin to break down for both The Joker and Batman alike--and with them any hope for Gotham's future。

Writer and artist Sean Murphy delivers an extraordinary examination of comics' greatest antagonists in Batman: White Knight, exploring justice, corruption, activism and the darkest depths of mental illness。 Collecting the acclaimed eight-issue miniseries, including sketches and scripts as well as Sean Murphy's orginal pencils。 This stunning graphic novel also marks the debut of the DC Black Label imprint, which features classic DC characters in all-new, standalone stories written and illustrated by world-class authors and artists。

Amazing comic! I loved reading this! It was everything I wanted in a what if the Joker went sane? So much Harley and Joker goodness, and just a great story! If you love Batman, Harley, and Joker, you’ll love this story。 Really original but still within a universe similar to the animated series。

That was, by far, the best Batman graphic novel I have read thus far。 It has a depth to it, a power that derives from the way these characters operate in the moral grey。 This one actually explores that grey。 The issues with Batman, the snapping。 The twists feel fresh and though none of them are entirely shocking, they are all pleasant and add to the reading experience。 The art is beautiful, the subplots are engaging and the story is very powerful。 I loved it。

Sean Gordon Murphy manages to show Batman's darker side and even making him brutal and scary without compromising the integrity of the character。 He is The Batman that Zack Snyder SHOULD have made but never understood how。 When he puts on the cowl I feel unsafe and when I see Bruce it's like meeting an old friend。 But the star of the show is The White Knight, Jack Napier, The Joker。 I will not sit here and say that this script is flawless but I will say that there was a point in the story where Sean Gordon Murphy manages to show Batman's darker side and even making him brutal and scary without compromising the integrity of the character。 He is The Batman that Zack Snyder SHOULD have made but never understood how。 When he puts on the cowl I feel unsafe and when I see Bruce it's like meeting an old friend。 But the star of the show is The White Knight, Jack Napier, The Joker。 I will not sit here and say that this script is flawless but I will say that there was a point in the story where I was on Jack's side and saw his points on why Batman is the real menace of Gotham。I don't want to say anything else。 It's a great Batman/Joker story where we explore their disturbing relationship and an interesting insight on Batman's War on Crime。 READ IT! 。。。more

Yes, konečne batmanovka, ktorá ma bavila。 Batman bad guy, Joker sane, dialógy, minimum akcie - tuším to cielilo priamo na mňa。 :D Malo to všetko, čo od dobrého príbehu očakávam, plus neuveriteľný art Gordona Murphyho spolu s coloringom milovaného Matta Hollingswortha。 Čo viac si priať。 Akurát sa bojím ísť do sequelov, príbeh v tomto booku bez nich bez problémov obstojí, priam ich nepotrebuje。

Alternate reality it seems- joker is in love with bats, takes medicine to revert back to normal and plans to expose bats。 He uses hatter hat to control villains, with harleys help。 Ends up reverting back to joker and goes to Arkham, bats reveals himself to Jim and plans to do so to the rest。 Didn’t care for political part nor nazi story with Freeze。
